Ecology Tour

Day 1:
Transfer in, our representative will be waiting for you at Juan Santa Maria International Airport to take you to your hotel. Meals included: D. Overnight at Martino Resort

Day 2:
Early departure to Tortuguero, in the way to Tortuguero, we will visit Braulio Carrillo National Park, we will observe a several life zones transitions through this park, explore the lower montane tropical wet forest. On the way through the canals of Tortuguero, expect a magnificent “jungle type” scenario, Egretes, Herons, Jacanas, Crocodiles, Caimans & Monkeys are often seen during this trip. After lunch, visit the village of Tortuguero. Meals included: B.L.D. Overnight at Evergreen Lodge.

Day 3:
Early boat trip through the wonderful canals and scenarios. After lunch explore the swampy forests. Meals included: B.L.D. Overnight at Evergreen Lodge.

Day 4:
Mid morning departure to Selva Verde, explore the lowland tropical wet forest. Meals included: B.L.D. Overnight at Selva Verde

Day 5:
Late morning departure to Arenal, after arrival and lunch, enjoy hotsprings during afternoon, during or after dinner, enjoy the view of lava flows descending from Arenal Volcano. Meals included: B.D. Overnight at Linda Vista del Norte Hotel.

Day 6:
Early morning visit to Arenal Hanging Bridges. Time at leisure during afternoon. Optional activity may be the Canopy Tour.
Meals included: B. Overnight at Linda Vista del Norte Hotel.

Day 7: After breakfast, transfer to Monteverde, crossing the Arenal Lake on a boat.
Meals included: B.L.D Overnight at El Establo.

Day 8:
Early morning visit to Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve, previous to this we will enjoy early coffee and cookies plus box lunch to carry.
Meals included: B.L.D Overnight at El Establo

 Day 9:
Late morning departure to La Pacifica Research Center, after arrival and lunch, explore the Tropical Dry Forest.
Meals included: B. L. D. Overnight at La Pacifica Tropical Research Center

 Day 10:
Late morning rafting at Corobici River. Class I & II. Visit La Pacifica trails to see the Howler Monkeys and The Haugnawer Wildlife Rescue Center.
Meals included: B.L.D. Overnight at La Pacifica Tropical Research Center

 Day 11:
After lunch return to San Jose.
Meals included:B.L.D.  Overnight at Martino Resort.

Day 12:
Transfer out
