Spectacular, gorgeous, amazing, these are some of the words I usually hear from persons whenever a show them for the first time this tree in bloom, and similar to these was what I said the first time I saw it long time ago, when I was a kid. |

Belongs to the Bignonaceae family, and have a big number of medicinal properties. It was apparently the sacred tree of Mayas. |

| It blooms once a year, and it’s very strange, that you see all these trees blooming all at once, almost the same day, in a kind of synchronization that has intrigued scientists for long. |

The right time to see them blooming in Costa Rica is at the end of the dry season.
